Here we have a website dedicated to Jack Russell Terriers. Would you like a small compact dog with a large attitude and an abundance of charm and intelligence? then the JR will be the choice. Be warned though they can out think a human. Jack Russell's are full of energy and are on the go all the time. They need to have something to think about and do not like being board. Fascinating to watch at anytime but more so when they are in "turbo mode”. We have two; Misty and Yogi are as different in looks as they are in personality although there are something's that they do the same. Yogi is a brindle light brown colour and he is the boy, Misty the younger is the female and she is Black and White and taller. Poor Yogi he is three this year and misty two but of coarse the females in charge.
Would you like to add your JRT pcs to our Blog with a story about them ? Drop use an email and we will post it on a new web page. Misty and Yogi email link
Why a JRT? Good question. First of all do you want to add an extra member to your family? Do you want another family member that you will need to look after for a long time at the very least 10 to fifteen years and very often with a Jack Russell longer than that. Most dogs of all shape and sizes will require you to look after them for a very long time. Not just for a couple of months. They will rely on you for everything don't have a dog if you can not look further than a year you have to plan a lot further than that. Anyway back to why a JRT. Small and compact and intelligent a jack Russell has more to offer than most Dogs. The size is ideal because although there attitude is bigger than life they are quite small. Jrs can take control of you if you let them though so training properly at the beginning will be the most important thing to do. Do not think that you will be able to train them yourself you will need to sign up for a local dog training class. This is important to make your JR meet and greet other dogs especially the ones that are larger.
Jack Russells are small compact and larger than life. They are just the right size and because they are hunting dogs they are respected and feared as proper dogs. So as long as you dont put a wax jacket or fluffy coat on them you will see how tough they are. They are very faithful and will love you for ever. If you have one from a pup they will grow with your kids and love and look after them the same way they would you.,
